Shimano Ultegra Crankset FC-6500 Double 172.5
 This is a set of used Shimano Ultegra cranks. They were removed because the drive side crank's splined interface (the area that connects to an Octalink bottom bracket) is damaged. The non-drive side crank is NOT damaged. Please see photos and FAQ below for more info.
 These cranks are originally from a 9-speed Ultegra set-up but I've read online it is totally possible to use 9-speed cranks successfully with 8 speed and 10 speed setups and maybe others.

Q. What condition is the item?
A. Used.
The drive-side crank's splined interface (the part that connects to an Octalink bottom bracket) is damaged. My idiot mechanic (that's me) put them on and didn't tighten them right. They loosened from the BB, moved around, and the movement caused the splines of the BB to eat into the connecting part of the crank. It is still mountable but there's some play because of the damage.
The non-drive side crank is good. The splined interface is NOT damaged. I guess I got this one right.
I suppose you could use the cranks as is but you'll have to accept that there will be some play from the drive side damage. The non-drive side crank arm is in fine condition so maybe you just need that one for a double or triple chainring set-up (FC-6500/FC-6503).
Or use them for art. Make a clock out of the cranks!
Q. Anything else I should know?
A. Dura-Ace is great but Ultegra is where the value is at!
