Description

This is a 15" x 20" poster featuring Mattias Norstrom (#14), Ian Laperriere (#22), Ziggy Paffy (#33), and Luc Robitaille (#20) from the Los Angeles Kings' 2003-2004 NHL season.

The poster was a one-game promotional item given to Kings fans at a home game at Staples Center during the season.

The background of the poster is a Kings home jersey with the crown logo on black and "Los Angeles" on purple at the bottom. In the middle is a puck with the the crown logo and "WE ARE THE KINGS". Surrounding the puck are the photos of the four players and below each of their photos is their name and number.

At the bottom, there are the promotion sponsor logos, ESPN Radio 710 and Terminix.

The back of the poster is plain white.

Q. What condition is the item?
A. Very, very good. Not folded, not creased, handled carefully. I'd say new, but I did have to handle it so I don't want you to think it's "mint", but I'm sure you'll be happy.

Q. Anything else I should know?
A. Luc Robitaille retired as a King at the end of the 2005-2006 season. His number (20) will be retired by the Kings in a pre-game ceremony on January 20, 2007, before the Kings face-off against the Phoenix Coyotes.

Hard-working fan favorite Ian Laperriere left the Kings as a free agent after the 2003-2004 season and signed with the Colorado Avalanche.

Veteran defenseman Mattias Norstom is currently in his 11th season with the Kings. Matty is the team captain.

Ziggy (Zigmund) Palffy came to the Kings in a trade with the New York Islanders in the summer of 1999. The Kings sent Olli Jokinen, Josh green Mathieu Biron, and their first choice in the next draft for Palffy and Brian Smolinski. In January 2004, Palffy was injured in a game against the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Palffy returned to play just 35 games in the 03-04 season after shoulder surgery. He played for a Czech league team during the 04-05 lockout season, and then signed as a free agent with the Pittsburg Penguins before the 05-06 season. On January 18, 2006, citing "personal reasons" and a lingering shoulder injury, Palffy retired after serving Pittsburg in just 42 games.
