The G5 debuted at the Tour de France and made quite the impression on the race, spending eight days in yellow along the roads of France. It wasn’t just the peloton who were impressed though, as the G5 heralded leaps in carbon frame technology and design. Using advanced molding techniques and tubing shapes, the G5 is one of the most highly regarded bikes in the world, setting benchmarks for light weight, stiffness and ride performance. Small details add up, which is why the G5 uses one-piece carbon dropouts, slotted carbon cable guides, and a full carbon front derailleur mount. Though it’s hard to improve upon such a legacy, we did just that.
For 2012, the G5 receives a new carbon fiber bottom bracket, making the G5 a 100% full carbon structure allowing us to further reduce weight while increasing stiffness. In addition, we’ve refined the world’s most cutting edge fork design even further with a carbon integrated crown race. The result is a stronger front end, while further reducing total system weight. All of these details create an increase in performance that is noticeable from the very first pedal stroke. Attention to detail is what sets BH apart from the rest of the pack and the G5 showcases that obsession.

Beefy New full carbon PressFit30 BB shell increases strength and stiffness while reducing weight. Use BB30 cranks or Shimano/SRAM/Campagnolo with a pair of adapter cups.
Cables route in a channel under downtube. The channel adds stiffness to the down tube as well.
Derailleur cables wrap around headtube and crisscross at the patented bottom-bracket cable guide so the housing doesn't wear down the paint job at the headtube.
